Yo what’s up!

Today I’m showing off my plaid “shaket” using McCall’s Pattern 7638 I modified just a little to give me more of a street style design. The plaid wool fabric is from Melanated Fabrics and it’s the perfect weight for this project. I made this pattern a few years ago and it has to be one of my most worn plaid pieces. I’ll see if this new one become my number one over the few weeks we have left of Winter and going into Spring 2021.

I love this what changes did you make (other than adding a zipper and side seam pockets ?)

I took about 5/8″ from the center front pattern pieces and created a wider front facing. Then I just adjusted the front lining pieces for it to fit exact. I also made the back & front yoke all one piece to eliminate those seams. Thanks for visiting my website and leaving a comment.
