Checkout my very first jacket I made that came out great…
I started sewing more projects over the past couple weeks and I haven’t slowed down at all. Its seems like the only thing I want to do is SEW… lol! My girlfriend of course is the queen of DIY and I promise she hasn’t been making any of my items, only assisting when I have questions.
I’m super excited to show you my latest project using Burda Pattern #7142 and I must say… it is DOPE AS HELL!!! I styled my denim trench coat with just a simple white crewneck tee, khaki chinos, and brown boots from last fall.
PATTERN REVIEW
Pattern: Burda #7142
Pattern Description: Trench Coat
Pattern Sizing: 34
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done? Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I disliked the button hole markings attached to the front piece and would rather it had been it’s own cut out piece to mark at the end.
Fabric Used: Denim
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I took out 4 inches of ease out the sleeves and about 6 inches of ease out of the body just a few inches under the armpit.
Would you sew it again? Yes
Would you recommend it to others? Yes
